Launch of the educational dimension of the Africa2020 Season

Jean-Michel Blanquer, Minister of National Education, Youth and Sports and N’Goné Fall, General Commissioner of the Africa2020 Season, recently introduced the educational dimension of the Season during a launch ceremony broadcast online.

Scientific, cultural, and sports projects as well as resources will be offered to educational institutions to enhance the teaching of Africa – past and present – to the youth. The educational component of the Season will also be backed by the participation of women ambassadors who share a link with Africa and who are recognised for enhancing the image of Africa through their intellectual and artistic contribution as well as in sports. Finally, using a teaching approach based on the principle of reciprocity, the partnership with France Volontaires will enable young Africans to take part in the creation of projects for the Season in France.
